6.2.7. Replacement of the regulator of pressure of fuel

Models with the M52 engine

Depending on execution of the car the regulator of pressure of fuel can be installed in one of three places: on withdrawal of the distributive highway, on its back part, or on the car bottom.

Execution 1

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove withdrawal of the distributive highway with injectors (see the Section Removal and installation of the fuel distributive highway and injectors).
  1. For removal of the regulator of pressure of fuel on the distributive highway disconnect a vacuum hose and remove a lock ring.
  1. Monitoring the provision of accession of a vacuum hose, rotary motions pull out pressure regulator.

At installation replace sealing rings (1 and 2). Make sure that the condensed surfaces are not polluted.


Sealing rings of the regulator of pressure
  1. Installation is made upside-down. You watch that the ledge on a lock ring entered grooves on withdrawal of the distributive highway.

Execution 2

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. For removal of the regulator of pressure of fuel upon the bottom of the car turn out bolts and uncover.
  1. Disconnect a vacuum hose (1), remove the fixing bracket (2) and the regulator of pressure of fuel.

Execution 3

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove withdrawal of the distributive highway with injectors (see the Section Removal and installation of the fuel distributive highway and injectors).

The regulator of pressure of fuel is located behind on the fuel distributive highway.


Location of the regulator of pressure of fuel
  1. Disconnect a vacuum hose and remove the fixing bracket.
  1. Perform the operations described in paragraphs 3 and 4.

Models with the M52TU engine

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the saloon filter and open the cable channel located on the lower part (2) of its cases. Extend cables outside. Turn out bolts (1) and remove the lower part (2) cases of the saloon filter.
  2. Take out caps of bolts and turn out them. Uncover injectors (see an illustration).
  3. Disconnect a vacuum hose (1) from the fuel pressure regulator.
  4. Perform the operations described in paragraphs 3 and 4.

Models with the M60 engine

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the top cover of the engine.

The regulator of pressure of fuel is located on the back party of system of an admission, about an ECM block compartment.


Location of the regulator of pressure of fuel
  1. Disconnect a vacuum hose.
  1. Remove a lock ring (see an illustration).
  2. Perform the operations described in paragraphs 3 and 4.

Models with the M62 engine

Depending on execution of the car the regulator of pressure of fuel can be installed in one of three places: in withdrawal of the distributive highway behind, in the on-off trilinear valve, or in the fuel filter.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Replacement of the regulator of pressure of the fuel established on withdrawal of the distributive highway (execution 1) is made similar to replacement of the regulator on models with the M62 engine. Below the procedure of replacement of the regulator of pressure performed by 2 and 3 is described.
  2. Remove forward right section of protection of the bottom of a body.

  1. Disconnect a vacuum hose (1), pull out the fixing bracket (2) in the direction of an arrow and take out the regulator of pressure of fuel (3).
  1. Installation is made upside-down. Replace sealing rings of the regulator of pressure of fuel.

Models with the M73 engine

To 09.1998 g of the issue.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the top cover of the engine.
  1. Disconnect a vacuum hose (1) and remove a lock ring.
  1. Perform the operations described in paragraphs 3 and 4.

From 09.1998 g of the issue.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove forward right section of protection of the bottom of a body.
  1. Disconnect a vacuum hose (1), pull out the fixing bracket (2) and remove the fuel pressure regulator.
  1. Installation is made upside-down. Replace sealing rings of the regulator of pressure of fuel.
